DITAVals

DITAVals enable you to manage the content that displays based on filters applied to content.

DITAVals are essentially files that contain rules for conditional publishing. You can configure DITAVals to include or exclude content based on the Conditional Processing Attributes set on the content. Conditional Processing Attributes can be set on elements in a topic or map. For more information, see Coniditional Processing Overview.

DITAVals are used for publishing conditional content. When you’re ready to publish, select the DITAVal file as the args.filter.

Example

You can create a DITAVal file that exclude content when “audience=novice”. So, any content set with the Audience Conditional Processing Attributes as “novice” will not display when this DITAVal is used at publish.
