Creating a Topic

Create a topic with the required elements available for that topic type.
  1. In the Content Manager, navigate to a desired folder and click Create New .

    Expected Result
    The Create New drop-down menu displays.
    Note:Available options vary based on your configuration.

  2. Select the topic type you want to create.

    Expected Result
    The Create New window displays.

  3. Enter a Title and File name.
  4. (Optional) By default, the file is created in the current folder. To create the file in a different folder, click Change and select a new location.
  5. (Optional) To assign the file to a collection, select Collections.
  6. (Optional) To assign metadata to the file, select Metadata.
  7. Click Create & Edit to create and open the topic for editing, or click Create to create the topic and return to the Content Manager
result

A new topic that includes all the mandatory elements for that topic type is created.
