Metadata and Collections Overview
Metadata and collections help to organize and classify files. These two methods of organizing files enable you to add another layer of classification to your content.
Think of metadata as labels or tags that you can assign to files. They enable you to classify your content so you can easily identify existing content within a particular tag. For more information, see Metadata and Taxonomy Overview.
Collections are similar to folders. But unlike folders, files can exist in more than one collection. Because files can exist in multiple collections, this can be an effective method of sorting files that belong in multiple places. For more information, see Collections Overview.
Metadata and collections can be set up in the Administration interface of the Dashboard.
Note:You must be an Administrator to access the Administration interface.
