Linking Tab
The Links Tab in the Resource Viewer enables you to view a file's link dependencies.
Interacting with Links
Viewing a file's link dependencies enables you to see its incoming and outcoming links.
Sharing a File Link
Use the Share URL to send a file link to other users.
Linking Tab

The Links Tab in the Resource Viewer enables you to view a file’s link dependencies.
The Links Tab displays the incoming and outgoing links for the current file.
  • Inbound Links – all the components that link to the current components. This is commonly referred to as “Where used”.
    Example #1: When viewing a topic, each map that contains that topic will be listed in the Source file column
    Example #2: When viewing an image, each topic that displays that image will be listed in the Source file column
  • Outbound Links – all components referenced by the current component.
    Example #1: When viewing a topic, each image in that topic will be listed in the Target file column under Outgoing Links
Interacting with Links

Viewing a file’s link dependencies enables you to see its incoming and outcoming links.
  1. In the Content Manager , right-click a file and select Links .

    Expected Result
    The Links Tab in the Resource Viewer is displayed with the incoming links visible.

  2. To view outgoing links, click Outgoing Links Tab .

    Expected Result
    The file’s outgoing links are displayed.
  3. To view all link dependencies, click All Dependencies .

    Expected Result
    All dependencies for the file are displayed.
  4. Select a target link in the listing.

    Expected Result
    The Resource Viewer Pane displays.

Sharing a File Link

Use the Share URL to send a file link to other users.
  1. In the Content Manager , right-click a file and select Properties .

    Expected Result
    The Properties Tab in the Resource Viewer displays.

  2. Place your cursor in the Share URL field.

    Expected Result
    The Share URL is highlighted.
  3. Copy the URL.

You have the Share URL copied and ready to share with others.
