The Properties Tab in the Resource Viewer enables you to access the file's properties, collections, and metadata.

The Properties Tab in the Resource Viewer enables you to access the file’s properties, collections, and metadata.
The Properties Tab displays file information.

The following information displays in the Properties Tab:

API Info

Use the links in the API Info section to:
Type Description
URI Stored location for the file.
UUID Unique ID for file.
Share URL Opens the Content Manager with the file highlighted.
Rest URL Direct URL for the Rest location.
WebDAV URL Direct URL for the WebDAV location.
File Status

File statuses indicate where the file stands in the content development process.

The status of a file indicates the actions that can be performed in easyDITA. You can quickly view a file’s status in the file listing, for example:
In easyDITA, file statuses can be used as a filtering constraint when searching for content and as an indicator, for example, of how many files are in the Review state. This can let you know the overall state of work in the repository.

File Status Options

By default, there are five preconfigured file statuses:

Status Description
Obsoleted File can be modified.
Needs Reevaluation File can be modified.
Authoring File can be modified.
Review File is put into read-only mode. You cannot modify the file, but you can make comments and suggestions..
Approved File is put into read-only mode. You cannot modify the file, but you can make comments and suggestions.
Changing the File Owner

Change the owner of a file to another user.
  1. In the Content Manager , right-click a file and select Properties .

    Expected Result
    The Properties Tab in the Resource Viewer displays.

  2. In the Owner drop-down menu, select a user.
  3. Click Save Changes .

The file owner is modified.
