Content Manager Interface
Browse Tab
The Browse Tab is a component of the Content Manager that enables you to browse your content library. You can also use it to look for files that are starred, in collections, or moved to the trash.

The Filters Tab is a component of the Content Manager that enables you to filter files that are displayed.

Browse Tab

The Browse Tab is a component of the Content Manager that enables you to browse your content library. You can also use it to look for files that are starred, in collections, or moved to the trash.
The Browse Tab enables you to navigate folders in the content repository.
The Browse Tab contains the following areas:
Area Description
Starred Starred files are personal bookmarks used to quickly access a file. For more information, see Starring Files.
Library Files are organized into folders and subfolders.
Collections Files are sorted into a collection for organization and classification. Collections are different from folders in that files can only be organized into one folder, but they can exist in multiple collections. For more information, see Metadata and Collections Overview.
Trash Removed files are displayed in the Trash interface. For more information, see Trash Overview.
Filters Tab

The Filters Tab is a component of the Content Manager that enables you to filter files that are displayed.
The Filters Tab enables you to use preconfigured criteria to manage files that are displayed.
You can filter files using the following criteria:
Criteria Description
Keywords Enter keywords to filter files. For example, only display files that contain the same word(s). Using the search bar in the navigation will lead to the keyword search. You can also use the Keywords field to update a search.
Needs Attention Select to filter files that need your attention. For example, only display files that are not valid, contain broken links, or contain open comments.
Status Select to filter files based on the workflow status. For example, only display files that are obsolete, need reevaluation, in progress, in review, or approved.
Content Type Select to filter files based on the content type. For example, only display concept, task, or reference topics.
Metadata Select to filter files based on metadata. To learn more about metadata, see Configuring Metadata.

Integrated Search and Navigation

The Content Manager uses an integrated search and navigation system to browse, filter, and search files.
The integrated search and navigation enables you to browse, filter, and search files that are displayed in the Content Manager.

Search Bar

The search bar enables you to search for words from anywhere in easyDITA. The search bar uses a ‘type ahead’ system that displays results as you type. It displays the top six matches based on the file name or title.
Entering a search term opens the Filters Tab in the Content Manager.
By default, all files in the repository are searched through. You can narrow the search scope from all folders to a specific folder or collections.

Search Using the Browse and Filter tab

The Content Manager contains a Browse tab and Filters tab, which enable you to browse and filter files that are displayed in the file listing.
Use the Browse Tab to navigate to specific folders.
Switch to the Filters Tab to narrow the files displayed during a search. Files are filtered based on the folder you are in and the preconfigured filter criteria selected.
For example, using the Browse Tab, you can navigate to the Documentation folder. Then you can use the Filters Tab to only display maps in the Documentation folder.
