Inbox Overview
The Inbox interface notifies you of relevant information.

Inbox Overview

The Inbox interface notifies you of relevant information.
The Inbox interface displays your notifications. Notifications are sent to your inbox to inform you of any relevant assignments and comments.
You receive notifications for:
  • Assignments assigned to you

  • Replies to your comments

  • Comments in topics you own
  • Comments in topics you starred

  • Custom items (as configured)

Your notifications can also be pinned, snoozed, or archived. When the status of a notification is modified, the notification is displayed in the corresponding folder. To change the status of a notification, use the following icons:
Status Description
Pinned
Track important notifications.
Snoozed Delay notifications to another day or time.
Archived Store old notifications for your records.
Viewing Inbox Notifications

View the comment or assignment related to the inbox notification.
You’re in the Dashboard interface and want to view a notification.
  1. Click Inbox.

    Expected Result
    The Inbox interface displays.
  2. Do any of the following:

    1. To view the assignment information, click View Assignment.

    2. To view the comment and a preview of the topic, click View Comment.

      The Preview Tab in the Resource Viewer displays. The comment is visible in the Comments pane.
    3. To view the DITA file the comment was left in, click the DITA file.

You are viewing the comment or assignment related to the inbox notification.
Pinning a Notification

Pin a notification that is important.
You’re in the Dashboard interface and want to pin a notification.
  1. Click Inbox.

    Expected Result
    The Inbox interface displays.
  2. Navigate to the notification you want to pin and hover over the top-right corner.

    Icons display.
  3. Click the Pin icon.
Your notification is pinned and remains in your Inbox. You can access all your pinned notifications in the Pinned section of the Inbox.
Snoozing a Notification

Snooze a notification until the next day, forever, or a custom date and time.
You’re in the Dashboard interface and want to snooze a notification to another date.
  1. Click Inbox.

    Expected Result
    The Inbox interface displays.
  2. Navigate to the notification you want to snooze and hover over the top-right corner.

    Icons display.
  3. Click the Snooze icon.

    Expected Result
    The Snooze until drop-down menu displays.
  4. Do one of the following:

    1. To snooze until the next day, click Tomorrow.
    2. To snooze indefinitely, click Forever.
    3. To snooze to a custom date and time, click Pick date & time. and select a date and time.
Your notification is snoozed and moved to the Snoozed section of the Inbox.
Archiving a Notification

Archive notifications for your records.
You’re in the Dashboard interface and want to archive a notification.
  1. Click Inbox.

    Expected Result
    The Inbox interface displays.
  2. Navigate to the notification you want to pin and hover over the top-right corner.

    Expected Result
    Icons display.
  3. Click the Archive icon.
Your notification is archived and moved to the Archived section of the Inbox.
