Metadata and Taxonomy Overview
Assigning metadata to files is a method of classifying content that uses custom taxonomy.
Think of metadata as a label or tag you can assign to files to classify them. Metadata is structured using taxonomy. So, before you can assign metadata to your files, you’ll need to create a custom taxonomy for your content. For more information, see Configuring Taxonomy.
You can configure your metadata and taxonomy in the Administration interface of the Dashboard:
Note:You must have an administrator account to access the Administration interface.
